‘Be the best you can be’
“The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.” (Ken Doherty)
If you have the spirit to inspire young people to a love of sport and a healthy lifestyle, come and join a like-minded PE team.
GCSE Physical Education results have been excellent over the last few years. In 2018 70% of students achieved a grade 5 or better and 36% achieving a grade 7 or above.
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach Physical Education across the age and ability range and support our quest for excellence through innovative and creative teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching sport and games, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential, supporting an extra-curricular programme and will contribute to our whole school development and the raising of standards.
Due to the size of the school it may be that the appointed teacher would need to be able to offer a second subject at KS3.
This post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience. Claydon High School, in liaison with local providers, provide an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff. NQTs will be paid for working in July if they are available to come into school at the end of the summer term. We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.
Claydon High School is a popular mixed comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich, easily accessed from the A12 and A14.
Further details and an application form can be found below or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing from you.
