Headteacher's Weekly Update

As we near the end of term, GCSE exams are well under way and our Year 11s have impressed us all with their focused revision before exams and smiles as they come out. These exams are challenging but when they have prepared for them over time they can feel proud of having made their very best attempt in the exam hall. These exams continue for two weeks after half term and then they will switch their focus to prom – look out for lovely photos from this towards the end of the month.

We have a lot in school to keep us busy with trips, visits and competitions all being undertaken. We have significant numbers of students working towards completion of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and they will be doing their expedition for this in June and in school we are hearing the music of Queen being sung as rehearsals continue apace for “Schools Will Rock You” – tickets are now on sale.

At the end of each half term, our newsletter captures stories and successes with photos and more detail than I can provide here, please look for it on our website, via parentmail, or contact the school if you would like to have a paper copy sent to you.

Students return to school on Monday 3rd for week one lessons.
