Full time or Part time (0.9 FTE)
MPR to UPR
Required for September 2018
Are you the extra ingredient we need in our Design Faculty?
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach Design Technology (Food) across both key stages. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching their subject, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and will contribute to our whole school development and the raising of standards.
This post has become vacant due to our current Food Teacher taking some time out from teaching to travel overseas, she has developed the curriculum alongside her DT colleagues and secured some excellent GCSE results over the last two years. The successful candidate will be joining department of 4 and supporting the Head of Faculty and rest of the team in improving student outcomes further. Due to the size of the school and the nature of the timetable, we would be asking applicants for the full time post to teach a second subject. The successful candidate will ideally be looking to contribute to the extra-curricular programme and able to demonstrate an innovative and interactive style of teaching.
This post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience. Claydon High School and Suffolk LA provide an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff and NQTs will be paid for working in July if they are available to come into school at the end of the summer term. We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.
Claydon High School is a popular mixed comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich, easily accessed from the A12 and A14.
