“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way
and shows the way.” (John C Maxwell)
Do you have a proven track record of making a difference in the classroom and now want to step up to lead others in our MFL Faculty?
The MFL faculty are a hardworking team of French and Spanish teachers, who work collaboratively to support student attainment and to develop exciting approaches to teaching and learning in lessons across the key stages. As well as a programme of intervention and supported study, the team offers varied trips overseas. We would like the successful candidate to further enhance the enrichment opportunities offered by the faculty, especially and to be able to demonstrate an innovative and interactive style of teaching.
For the past year the MFL team has worked within the wider Communications Faculty led by an English specialist. We want to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner and energetic leader to take the MFL faculty forward. The successful candidate must be passionate about teaching French and Spanish, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and supporting whole school development and the raising of standards.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. Although a small secondary school, we pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos, collegiate atmosphere and commitment to the continuing professional development of all staff. As part of the South Suffolk Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.
We look forward to hearing from you.
