Our uniform is very important to us and has been designed in consultation with the students and parents/carers. No variations from the uniform are permitted.

Polo shirts without the logo are not acceptable and coloured and/or long-sleeved tops may not be worn underneath polo shirts.
Black trousers, skirt or knee-length tailored shorts
Skirts should be no shorter than 2cm above the knee and should be made of similar fabric to tailored trousers or shorts and should not be tight. Jeans, leggings, three-quarter length, tight/”skinny” and combat trousers are not acceptable. Trousers should not be skin tight around the ankles. Shorts should be tailored and not sports or beach wear. Parents/carers are free to buy school trousers and skirts from any retailer but they must match the designated style supplied by Coes and PMG.

A school jumper must be worn around school and may be removed in lessons
Coats should be warm, practical and preferably water/showerproof.
Jumpers, cardigans, short fashion jackets and “hoodies” may not be worn as a coat.
Shoes should be plain black, leather/leather-look, sensible and comfortable.
For reasons of safety, backless shoes, open toes, “pumps” which do not cover much of the foot, high heels, boots and platform soles are not acceptable.
Training shoes, skate shoes and canvas shoes/plimsolls are not allowed.
Discreet make-up is allowed but coloured nail varnish and jewellery should not be worn, with the exception of a watch and one discreet stud in each ear. No other forms of body piercing are permitted.
A plain black belt may be worn with trousers, skirts or shorts if required, but large “fashion” belts of any colour, including black, are not permitted.
Hairstyles of extreme design or colour will not be accepted

No other shirts are acceptable
Plain black v-neck long-sleeved jumper, or school jumper with logo
No other jumpers, cardigans, fashion jackets or tops are acceptable. The black polo skirts and jumpers do not have a logo so students can continue to wear them after Year 11.
EQUIPMENT FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Outdoors: Red and black polo shirt and shorts or skort, red knee length games socks and sturdy training shoes. football boots (optional) and shin pads. It is strongly recommended that a mouth guard be worn for hockey. This may be bought from school.
Indoors: As above, with white ankle socks and training shoes.
Please note: Any permitted jewellery must be removed for Physical Education lessons.

School polo shirts and jumpers, and all PE kit should be purchased from Coes of Norwich Road, Ipswich or PMG of Westgate Street, Ipswich. Both suppliers also sell Claydon uniform online.
